Approximately 20 - 25 small riverstones (or beach pebbles if you live near the sea)

Casting the spell:
Cast a circle.
Place the two blue candles in the western quarter of the circle approximately 12" apart. Place the white candle approximately 12" to the left of the blue candles.
Facing the gateway formed by the two blue candles, light them and say:
Beloved ancestors and friends
You are honored here.
I call thee to this gateway.
Only those who wish me well may enter.
Name anyone who has passed within the last year and place a small stone to represent them next to the white candle. As you name an individual, pass on any message you wish them to hear. Next remember all those who have passed before the last year. Again, place a small stone next to the white candle and pass on any message as you name them.
Once you have completed all the names you wish to honor, light the white candle and say:
All are mourned,
All are remembered,
All are honored.
Say farewell to those who have gathered and close the gateway.
Close the circle.
All the river stones you have used should be cast into the nearest stream or river. If you have used beach pebbles, they should be returned to the sea.
