Mabon: Pagan Sabbat celebrated in early autumn.

Magick: The art and science of changing events around you by manipulating energy in nature, self, and the spirit world.

Magickal Name: A name chosen by the dedicant or initiate to symbolise rebirth into their new path.

Magister : Title sometimes used for the male leader of a Coven.

Maiden: 1. The name given to one of the members of a coven, generally the assistant to the High Priestess. 2. One of the aspects of the triple goddess (maiden, mother, crone).

Meditation: The practice of inverting the mind to pay attention to inner silence instead of outer chaos.

Merry Meet: A greeting commonly used by Wiccans and pagans.Bsically it means "Greetings" and is often abbreviated as MM.

Merry Part: A Wiccan and pagan phrase that basically means "Goodbye". Often abbreviated as MP.

Mighty Ones: Entities or beings who have advanced beyond our plane of existence. Another name for the Old Ones.

Need Fire: A magickal fire which is kindled to serve specific needs.

Occult: Mysterious or hidden. Something beyond human understanding.

Ogham: The magickal Celtic alphabet made up of 20 letters (called fews), each representing a different type of tree or plant.

Old Ones: Entities or beings who have advanced beyond our plane of existence. Another name for the Mighty Ones.

Old Religion: This is a term often used for Wicca and Witchcraft. It is somewhat misleading when used in relation to Wicca, which is a fairly young and modern religion based on witchcraft.

Omen: Portent or sign.

Oracle: Spoken prophecy; the name given to the speaker of the prophecy. Also a name used for several different card based divination tools.

Ostara: Sabbat which celebrates the onset of spring.
