| Deosil: Clockwise. Most often used to describe movement in rituals. This is a pagan custom used to draw down the power of the sun; usually a person circles three times deosil. It is associated with blessings, luck, and good health or fortune. The opposite is Widdershins. |

| Days Of Power: Significant magickal days. |

| Divination: Method of inquiring into a situation through tools. Such as scrying, tarot, runes etc. |
|
| Drum: Used to set a beat for dance and/or song so that the energy of the group becomes raised and the mindset focused. |
|
| Earth Magick: A form of magick which involves drawing energy from Mother Earth and the element or elementals of earth for rituals. |
|
| Elemental: A spirit formed of one of the elements. The four main elementals are salamanders (fire), sylphs (air), undines (water), and gnomes (earth). |
|
| Elements: The 5 major elements in magick and nature. Earth, water, fire, air, and akasha (or spirit). |
|
| Elixir: A magically charged liquid which has to have a crystal sitting in it for a specific amount of time before it is ready to drink. |

| Empowerment: An individual's assertion of personal power, energy, force, and strength in all fields. |
|
| Enchantment: Spellcasting which generally involves spoken words of power. An enchantment can be put on something to gain control or authority over it. |

| Equinox: Either of the two points at which the Sun crosses the Celestial Equator, making day and night equal. |
|
| Esbat: A gathering for ritual work, generally during the full or new moon. |
|
| Essential Oil: A plant oil which is extracted through a complex process that generally yields very little making it costly to buy true essential oils. These are used often in rituals. |

| Eucharist: Sacred Meal. Originating in Mithraic tradition. |
|
| Evoke: To call forces or beings from a lower level of existence than our own. |
|
| Exorcise: To cast out unwanted influences. |
|
| Exorcism: The casting out of unwanted influences. |
|
| Familiar: A spirit or guardian who is considered a companion in magick. This often manifests itself in a sacred object or a pet. This explains the misconception that all Witches have black cats, which is not necessarily true though a cat is a magickal creature. |

| Fith-Fath: Another name for a poppet. |
|
| Five-fold Kiss: A traditional salute generally performed by the High Priest or the High Priestess. This involves kissing 5 areas on the body. |
|
| Full Moon: Phase of the moon when it has waxed fully. Best time for spells involving psychic powers and for magick in general. |
|
| Futhark Runes: Runic alphabet used often in divination. Viking or Norse (Germanic) in origin. |
