| Altar: The working table of a Witch; the "Spiritual Home" of the Witch. |

| Amulet: A passive charm which serves as a magnet for a particular idea or entity. |

| Asperge: To cleanse by sprinkling with water. |
|
| Athame: The athame is a double edged knife used in rituals. It is symbolic of the element of fire and it can be used while laying down circle boundaries and for inscribing candles. Also a phallic symbol. |

| Autumn Equinox: Solar Festival around September 2. |
|
| Bane: Something that is poisonous or destructive. |
|
| Banish: To drive or send away. |
|
| Beltane: A Wiccan Sabbat which is held between spring and the onset of summer, between April 30th and May 1st. |

| Besom: Essentially a witch's broom that is used to cleanse and purify sacred space. |
|
| Bind: To restrain someone or something. In other words to "bind" them or it to you using magick. |

| Binding: The practice of using magick or spells to restrain someone or something. In other words to "bind" them or it to you. |
|
| Black Mirror: A tool used for scrying and divination. The mirror has a black reflective coating unlike normal mirrors. |

| Blessed Be: A term derived from the ritual of the Five-Fold Kiss. it is a blessing commonly used by Wiccans and pagans as a greeting or a goodbye. Often abbreviated as BB or B*B. |

| Blood Of The Moon: A woman's mentrual cycle, considered important and a crucial time for magick to be performed. |

| Boleen - Bolleen - Bolline - Boline: A white handled knife commonly used in rituals for carving and cutting magickal symbols into ritual objects. |

| Book Of Shadows: A book of rituals, recipes, journal entries, laws, rules, and other documents important to a witch or coven. |

| Candle: An item that is lit and often used as part of a ritual. |

| Candlemas: Sabbat festival also known as Imbolc. |

| Cauldron: A ritual tool and a feminine symbol of the goddess. Also of life, death, and rebirth. |

| Cense: To expose to incense smoke. |

| Censer: A container in which incense is smoldered or burned. It symbolises the element of air. |

| Chalice: A ritual tool and a feminine symbol of the element water. This is used during rituals. |

| Charge: To fill with energy. |

| Cingulum: Worn around the waist or wrist and binds the Witch to the Gods and the Wheel; also used for cord magick (also known as Cord). |

| Cleansing: Purification through a ritual bath. Traditionally performed before every ritual. |

| Conjuration: Act of summoning. |

| Conscious Mind: That part of the mind of which we are aware. |

| Consecrate: To cleanse, bless and set apart for ritual use; to make sacred. |

| Consecration: The blessing, cleansing, or positively charging of an object which is to be used in magick or dedicated to a deity. |

| Cord: Worn around the waist or wrist and binds the Witch to the Gods and the Wheel; also used for cord magick (also known as Cingulum). |

| Corn Dolly: A figure made by plaiting wheat and similar to a poppet. It is symbolic of the fertility, grain, and harvest aspects of the Goddess. |

| Coven: A group of witches led by a High Priest and/or a High Priestess, who meet to worship and practice magic. Although traditionally limited to 13 most covens are significantly smaller. |

| Craft (The): A term used to denote witchcraft or the witchcraft aspects of Wicca. |

| Crone: A term of respect for a Witch that has passed menopause or is older than 50. |

| Croning: The rite of passage to being a crone. |

| Cross Quarter Days: A term used for the fire Sabbats. |

| Crystal Ball: A crystal sphere used for divination and scrying. Also called a showstone. |

| Curse: Negative energy directed consciously towards a person, place, or object. |
